It’s said…the sun can be eclipsed the instant you blink
But what if you were to staple your eyes
Is this how far you would go, to deny the truth?
Presuming, of course, that what you see is true...
A burdened heart is far too common
And a heavy leg means something else
Would another weighed down body part
Be descriptive of something ‘different’ felt?
They say that love is a painful disease
And that it hurts the most
But can those high flown words do justice
To a tummy that rumbles for a meal complete…?
It’s up to you
What you make of life
And how seriously you take expressions
But answer one day you must
One day you must face some facts
What those would be, however,
To them I am oblivious…

Bondage
From the shackles I was born into
I dream of a breath free
The cord of old notions, surround me
With the tightening of the grip
They hold me back
Though much I tug-writhe and turn
The pressure is immense
And my body’s attempts are spurned
Confining won’t be ‘right’
But millions before me do it
With a heart clear of plight
I do identify
The destination as paradise
But the path to it is littered
With shards of glass
To walk on it
You must lose some blood
But courage it seems
Seeps faster away
The journey is interrupted
And revolution failed
Oh liberty! I see your possibility flying away.

Bye Bye Love
Bye bye love
Bye bye happiness
Hello loneliness
I think Im gonna cry
Bye bye love
Bye bye sweet caress
Hello emptiness
I feel like I could die
Bye bye my love, goodbye
There goes my baby
With someone new
She sure looks happy
I sure am blue
She was my baby
Till he stepped in
Goodbye to romance
That might have been
Chorus
Im through with romance
Im through with love
Im through with counting
The stars above
And heres the reason
That Im so free
My loving baby
Is through with me

27 Dresses
We casually stroll into a chick flick…..but wait a minute…we’re seated next to couples (predictable as hell…our inner selves yawn),,,and…here comes the surprise element…4 high school boys….have we really lost our eyesight or have 4 young boys VOLUNTARILY strolled in to catch ‘27 Dresses’ in all its Big Screen glory!?!
Here is the conversation that follows..
Swetha (in semi-non-hushed-whisper) …what r those guys doing watching a chick flick?
Me (not even bothering to lower voice) ….maybe they’re coming out of the closet…
*n we burst into peals of annoying laughter*
Halfway through the Movie…a line is said by the protagonist (who has modeled herself on me..yeshh…ask anyone who knows my life)…after she realizes that the guy whose column she loved doesn’t mean a word of the romantic tosh he sprouts…
Protagonist-it’s like I just discovered my favourite love song was based on a sandwich
(Reality check…maybe it really was…any chance Hooverphonic has a bread fixation?)
Almost reaching the predictable end of the movie…
(Girl confesses love for guy on stage with random people looking on benevolently)…
Guy said-“Get over here”…(n pulls her into this incredible hug)…
*okay…tongues were also involved*….
**Swetha and I go weak in the knees**….how about 75 cheers for an un-cliché’ line!
….ps-do hope u didn’t think this was going to be a review….*laughs hysterically and the dogs wake up from their deep slumber….ohh crap*

lala words and all cliches
all it takes is a day for some people to become important
and others to fade into obscurity
all it takes is one conversation
all it takes is quality time
and resurgence of old feelings....
all you need to know about life
you can learn from the way you live it..
the way you perceive life
becomes your life....
another way of phrasing above..."your perception of life frames the life you mould for yourself"...
msn nicks can capture nuances well...
i wish mister i-dont-recognize-u would piss off..
later!

Ahmedabad
So now im back from the most fabulous trip of my life!...lots of times we just SAY it was great in order to spare the feelings of others but this time...i mean it....
Its almost scary how much fun we had....just sitting around...dancing wildly....taking long walks...rediscovering ourselves...making candid confessions....making out even!...(lmao)...nuzzle nuzzle.....(grrrr...hehe)
but whats even more unusual is how comfortable i felt managing everything...yes...i did do some not-so-intelligent things....but ive carried back great memories...right from the Jay Sean lookalike...to the hot drummer we chased hysterical with laughter!.......
we ate the greasy food...licked our spicy fingers and slurped down masala maggie.....fought over trivialities....wormed our way in and out of embarrssing situations.....met and liked a few people....fell all over each other and loved like there was no tomorrow!!!
we took baby steps towards public street theatre....cribbed over the miniscule prize money.....n then apologized sweetly......:D.....we're really selfish that way....
over the angry fight....under the starry sky.....with the best people around.....i had a fabulous time...who cares if we were more keen on punjabi music?...it didnt matter that we were freezing at 3 am in tiny skirts....it matters not that my feet will never quite forgive me for kicking off my heels...shrugging off my jacket and dancing on the dewy grass for as long as the music played......
blackmailing people to get out of the room....dressing like divas in the evening...and like PJ party crashers later on.....at the end of it all....we loved and felt loved
we hugged and were hugged
we danced and got embarrassed
we made music and not war
there was lil, sometimes no sense
but actions were spontaneous...
we were impulsive
and i loved each moment of being free
and feeling liberated...
so if anyone else asks me how it was...n really wants to know...
im gonna say...visualise a person...
feel a moment...let the wind play with your hair...
allow yourself to be swept away.....
or maybe...i'll just say...'it was great'..
after all, everyone doesnt need to know everything!....:)
ambiguous emotions solidified!
MUAHSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
