What makes me think I'm a writer?
I think words are beautiful... they're like that proverbial stick you can either use to break a window or help a blind man walk
I truly feel like I physically invest a part of me into everything I scribble out
ie. my work=my baby
When I'm deeply sad I instinctively turn to writing
When I'm deeply happy I take a few breaths... calm down.. and begin to write
I once believed words were the way to eternity... to live in the life of someone else once your own life has passed... Now I don't think too much about eternity... Now I just think words can be therapeutic
Words can work miracles. They really can... they can cement relationships.. start new ones and sometimes.. they allow a stranger to guide your biggest decisions. Words Matter.
I think I'm a writer because I value words.
I've slowly learnt the cost of each.
Words can be like nails dug into a wall.. even if the nail is pulled out.. the impression remains.
I'm a writer because I choose to be one, choose to have it matter to me, choose to want to be a writer each time I write.
You know what they say about the pen being mightier than the sword right?
I always like the Horatio's who stick back long after the Hamlet's have died... they stick back and tell us the story
Cheers to Writing
Cheers to all of us who try :)
God Bless us All Everyone
